Karen Allen began her professional career with CBS Television Network in Washington, D.C. and moved on to become a producer for "PM Magazine" in New Orleans. Photojournalism assignments to Latin America opened doors for her to study tropical ecology and conservation. She took her media and tropical field experience to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans where she was Director of Public Relations. In New Orleans, she taught Promotions at Tulane University and Advertising & Marketing at Delgado College and was a marketing consultant to Ingalls, Quinn & Johnson (Boston) and the John Volk Company (Chicago). In 1988, she became Public Affairs Director for the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums (AAZPA) in Washington, D.C. From there, she went on to become Public Affairs Director for Conservation International in Washington, D.C. She started The Communications Office in 1994. In addition to serving the firm's clients, she serves on the Professional Advisory Board to Disney's Animal Kingdom and the Board of the Institute for Learning Innovation.

     Randal Allen was Bureau Chief and Managing Editor for Standard News in Washington, D.C. before joining The Communications Office in 1995. At Standard, he reported from the State Department and the White House before he was promoted to management. Prior to Standard News, he was Senior Producer for NBC Radio News. As Vice President of News Services for Pyramid Video Incorporated, he coordinated television news coverage in Washington for a long list of foreign broadcast services. Heading that list was BBC, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Japan Broadcasting Corporation. Early in his career, Mr. Allen worked as a National Broadcast Editor for The Associated Press in New York and as News Director for an all-news radio station in Washington, D. C. Mr. Allen has served two terms as Secretary of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. He is sought by corporate executives and government officials for confidential media training.
